“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”

And of course one of the busiest. Trying to get everything wrapped up – work projects, household chores, not to mention presents. Talk about making a list and checking it twice!

Most of us know we need to take a step back and so when we got a call from Rebecca Fishkin, one of our Realtors® in Loveland, it was just the ticket. Rebecca and her husband Rod work together and their idea was to have volunteers from Keller Williams Realty meet at our Loveland Office Friday morning December 16th. We would then travel to the Loveland North Shore Nursing Home to sing Carols with the residents. Armed with sheets of Christmas Songs and Carols – we gathered in the foyer.

Rebecca had also put out the suggestion that each resident have an individually wrapped gift to go under their tree. The final number came out at 140 gifts delivered! We sang together for about an hour – Jingle Bell Rock seemed to be a firm favorite. No surprise afterwards, that by slowing down to spend time with others we ourselves became more energized to fully appreciate “This Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.”

How do you feel about taking over as Relocation Director for Keller Williams Realty of Northern Colorado? Beyond excited! Keller Williams has national recognition and a tremendous local presence. It is a company which has embraced technology and still maintained its core values. Understanding the importance of valuable relationships and having a highly trained team of real estate agents is key to the current and future real estate markets.

What attracted you to relocation over ten years ago? I was intrigued by the significant number of people moving because of their careers, and what this entailed. These tended to be employees with a specific skill set, e.g. technical, managerial, etc. It is vital to understand the additional layer of stress involved – often it means families having to sell their homes in one part of the country and move to another in a very short “turnaround” period.

What does Northern Colorado have to offer Corporate Relocation? Northern Colorado has private sector research facilities, world class universities, and a highly skilled labor force. There is a strong statewide commitment to making Colorado attractive to many industries. Of course the 300+ days of sunshine helps too!

What: Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival

Agents from the Keller Williams Loveland office are gearing up for the 2011 Loveland Corn Roast festival! This old fashioned festival comes complete with a parade, corn recipe contest, vendor booths, corn shucking contest and corn eating contest. There is also a full entertainment line-up, including: That Eighties Band, Hazmat, Loveland High School Band, a performance by the Candlelight Dinner Theatre, Loveland’s Got Talent Finals, Michaela Rae, Harley and the V Twins, and Plumb Loco.

This year you can see the Keller Williams Loveland agents wearing their signature red shirts in the Corn Roast Parade. The parade is being held on Saturday August 27th beginning at 9:30am in Downtown Loveland. The agents will be marching with the Loveland-Berthoud Association of Realtors Realtors® (LBAR) and handing out American flags!

AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 21, 2011)–Keller Williams Realty reported today at its national convention that it ended 2010 with 79,315 associates, 701 market centers (offices), and associate profit share up 7.2 percent, with its agents receiving $34.6 million dollars back. Since the inception of the profit sharing program, the company has given back over $304 million in earnings to its agents. Additionally, CEO Mark Willis shared in his annual State of the Company address to more than 8,000 convention attendees that, since the real estate market’s sharp downturn in 2005, the company has grown 30 percent in agents, 40 percent in market centers, 21 percent in closed units and 11 percent in closed GCI.

“Keller Williams agents have outpaced the market in every way, through productivity and profit share. As a company, we are better off now than we were before the shift–and we have our associates to thank for that,” said Willis.

Willis also did the honors of “turning on” the industry’s first complete lead-to-close business solution, eEdge, during his address. This unique tool is now available to every Keller Williams associate at a fraction of the cost they would normally pay with functionality to build their leads, database and sales. Additionally, with the company-wide paperless transaction system, consumers can expect a faster, more seamless closing process.
