Loveland real estate agents at Orchard Summer Fest

August 30th, 2010

August 21, 2010
Recently, Keller Williams real estate agents participated in an event at The Orchards Athletic Club in Loveland. Nearly 40 clubs and businesses presented their wares and offered their services with outside and inside booths.
Loveland KW was the only real estate agency at the event and literally ‘ballooned the whole place’. Using red Keller Williams balloons, we fastened them to many vendor’s tables and doorways. One persons comment was ‘This looks like a Keller Williams sponsored event!’ We thank Orchards Athletic Club or their help in making this possible.
Twice every hour, the MC/DJ announced with a booming voice ‘Keller Williams is giving away another gift certificate to………. Hurry over and sign up for the drawing!’ Gift certificates were given for Ace Hardware, Baskin Robbins, King Sooper’s and Padre’s Mexican food Restaurant.
The Keller Williams agents involved, Connie Troncoso, Rebecca Fishkin, Renee Salza, Julio Cardenas, Angie Hinojos and Bill Ruhl donated their time, energy, resources and positive, refreshing attitudes to contribute together making a very successful afternoon for all of KW Northern Colo.
There was a lot of positive interaction with the community and the Loveland real estate crew was very, very visible in the midst. People want professionals that they can relate to. Let’s take every opportunity we can to show the community that this is who we at Keller Williams truly are! Special thanks go to Cathy Ruhl who conceived and piloted our booth in the event to all of our benefit.

Nationwide housing market making progress

May 11th, 2010

Even in the face of some markets down swings, the economy is gaining traction. The GDP rose 3.2 percent in the first quarter. This is a major signal that sustained gains are likely in the near future.

First-time home buyers held 44% of nationwide existing home sales. This is good news as more of the mortgages that may have been underwater have been sold.

Other indicators are telling us that stability is ahead as well. Median home price for existing properties have risen 0.4 percent over last year and 3.6 percent from February. Mortgage rates are also anticipated to rise 1 to 1.5 percent by the end of 2010.

The two main factors that are hindering a full and robust recovery are unemployment and the number of foreclosures that must still be worked through.

Agents giving this holiday season

February 1st, 2010

One of the greatest things we can do is give.
give, verb
1 cause to have, in the abstract sense or physical sense;
2 yield: be the cause or source of;
3 transfer possession of something concrete or abstract to somebody;
4 convey or reveal information;
5 convey, as of a compliment, regards, attention, etc.; bestow;

This past Christmas, our Keller Williams offices gave. In exchange for Christmas parties, our real estate agents adopted families. 11 families and 3 safe haven homes were adopted. Each safe haven home houses several young and teenaged children.
The funds that were earmarked for the office parties were spent on providing a bit more comfortable Christmas for these folks. In total, 55 people were blessed with gifts and a Christmas dinner.

One of the families adopted had just lost their home. Our agents had the network to assist them in connecting to an organization for housing, plus provide food and gifts for the family. What a huge blessing in such a dire time!

Another of many great stories that came from this:
When some of our real estate agents were shopping for gifts, they decided to purchase a sweater and a stuffed animal. The recipient family was really in dire times. Things like sweaters, pants and etc were needed. The sweater had a monkey on the front and the animal was a monkey. Little did they know! When the gifts were delivered, the boy who received them exploded with joy as he had a love for monkeys! The family thought for sure it was selected with the knowledge of the boy
liking monkeys.
Sometimes, giving can be the reward in and of itself. However once in a while, giving becomes more than just brightening an otherwise bleak day. Once in a while, you make someone’s month! And that, I believe, to be the greatest reward of giving.

Agents in Action: Agi Donahue

September 9th, 2009

Agi Donahue works hard, but she is also a big supporter for causes that she is passionate about. Here’s what she wrote:

This weekend I had the great pleasure of participating in the Breast Cancer 3 Day 60 mile event.
I wanted to take a moment to share with you just how amazing this event is. This single event raised just over $2 Million dollars for the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Fund. Each participant fund-raises a minimum of $2300 in order to be eligible to walk.

Walkers also included in the event are Breast Cancer Survivors and Women currently in the fight against Breast Cancer. Many of them are going through treatment at the time of the event and are weak, bald, and need to feel supported. At this event the support is in the air constantly. The ultimate goal is of course to FIND A CURE. However, even if the only reason this event happened was to offer support to these women it is worth every blister and every step. I felt overwhelmed and honored to be a part of something so special! The strength of the people involved is awesome.

I did this event with one of my business partners, Heather West with Bank of Colorado.. We each had very personal reasons in our circle of family and friends to want to participate in this event. It was a privilege to do this with her.

Over 95% of the funds raised in these events goes straight to research and early detection. This is a highly responsible group that have this cause within the Susan G Komen Foundation. Please take a moment today to pray for the people and their families that are in this fight. The youngest woman we know that participated in this walk was 22 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

We will be doing the Avon breast cancer walk next year as well. If you are interested to start a team or would like to make a donation please contact me or Heather West. Thank you so much for your support.

Everyone Deserves A Lifetime!
God bless you

The KW Family Gathering

August 21st, 2009

August 19th marked our annual company picnic. There was wonderful food and fun banter, some old friends and some new, a lot of laughter & some talk about real estate! I was able to catch up with our IT Director, Kelli Wallace and one of our top producers (from our Loveland office) Julio Cardenas for some cake!

We held the event at the Fairgrounds Park in Loveland, the beautiful new park off of Railroad ave.

After dinner, we held a fund raiser for KW Cares. There were darts, a duck pond, & you know the painted hula boards that have the faces cut out so you can take silly pictures? Wellll, we put the owners of Keller Williams of Northern Colorado in them and tossed wet nerf balls at them! It was great fun! We raised over $400.00 for KW Cares. A big thank you to the picnic committee, Agi Donahue and Julio & Viki Cardenas for a wonderful fun event
