Keller Williams of Northern Colorado holds fundraiser for local family

December 16th, 2010

KWCares is a non profit organization started by Keller Williams International. It was established to help Keller Williams agents, employees, and their families that are in need.

Recently, a great example of the program happened.

On September 26th, one of our amazing staff had a beautiful baby girl Alexandra Elizabeth Von Loht Burkhart. Shortly after it was discovered that Alexandra was born with Pierre Robin syndrome.

Pierre Robin syndrome is a condition present at birth in which the infant has a smaller-than-normal lower jaw. One major symptom is difficulty breathing. This required surgery on Alexandra.

The operation was a success and Alexandra returned home a short time later.

With the unexpected medical bills, parents Kelley and Jonathan Burkhart needed help. This is where Keller Williams of Northern Colorado stepped up to the plate.

Keller Williams holds an annual chili cookoff every November. The cookoff organizers saw this as a great opportunity to use this to raise money for Alexandra.

The evening of 11.11.2010 brought a spicy event with over a dozen chilis to sample. That night Keller Williams raised over $3,200 to benefit Alexandra.

JoAnn Johnston closed the evening, “I’m so proud of all of you in your giving and your great hearts. This has been a awesome event. Thank you so much”!

Keller Williams wants to thank sponsors:
Applebees, Baja Fish Company, CJ’s Patio, Coloradoan, Daddy O’s, Dawn Mathis, Doggy Divas.com, Five Guys Burger, Henry’s, Justine’s Pizza, Kelly and Michael Rutherford, Liz Lore, Max Muscle, McGraffs, Nels and Lisa Dachel, Pillar to Post, Rene Gillam, Rustic Oven, Sara Bee Knits, Sharon Taylor, Smash Burger, Sonny’s Country Café, Sports Station, Super Suppers, Zquila
