The importance of giving
May 4th, 2010In real estate, there is are very simple and straight forward examples of giving and it’s rewards. A potential buyer will give their time and authority to an agent. Their reward is a few options to choose from and possibly purchase a new home. Conversely, an agent will give their time and gas money to show clients house after house. Their reward is a commission check and finding that perfect home for their buyers and achieve their dream.
Giving, in and of itself, is always simple. However, it can be much bigger than time, homes, and paychecks.
Any big company knows that reputation is important in running their successful business. They know that to build and keep good standing with their communities they must nurture relationships. Giving is a great way and often times it is the only way.
Have you ever noticed that giving has nearly always given back to the giver much more? Take a quick look back to the beginning. For the buyer, the time they gave returned a home. A home is a very big deal! For the agent, their time given to their client returned income the them and their family and the satisfaction of helping someone achieve their dream.
On a grander scale, companies that give to their communities nearly always have many fans. Again, often times those fans are employees.
Who are you going to give to today?
